In this unique combo class designed for grades K-3, students will embark on an exciting journey through early world history and delve into fundamental scientific topics. With a hands-on approach and weekly projects, this class promises engaging exploration and learning.
During the history portion, students will dive into the captivating narratives of early civilizations using "The Story of the World" as our guide. From the fall of the Roman Empire to the ancient societies of Britain, students will witness the rise of pivotal religions and explore the evolving landscape of our world. Through immersive projects and experiments, they'll uncover the secrets of ancient civilizations and the forces that shaped them.
In the science segment, students will explore key concepts grouped into thematic blocks. This semester, our focus will be on understanding the intricate workings of the human body's systems essential for life. We'll then transition to the exploration of diverse habitats, both terrestrial and aquatic, including oceanic ecosystems. Finally, students will unravel the mysteries of food chains and survival strategies, exploring the fascinating worlds of mammals and sea creatures alike. Each class session will feature hands-on activities and experiments, ensuring a dynamic learning experience that reinforces concepts and captivates young minds.
