A Little About Me
Kym studied sociology and gender studies at University of California, Davis before
staying home to raise 5 amazing children. She taught at Montessori schools in the Bay
area, and in the Davis area. Her children have attended public school, charter schools,
and been homeschooled. She has been actively involved with her children’s education
where ever they schooled.
Kym believes people learn best through experience, so fosters an environment that
encourages ‘doing’. She and her husband of 32 years raised their family with these ideals
by living on a ranch and raising cattle, 3 kinds of goats, Angora rabbits, chickens, llamas,
rescue alpacas, and rescue pot belly pigs. She enjoys reading, gardening, sewing, needle
craft, and quilting.
