Welcome to our Earth Science class, designed for students in grades four through eight, where we embark on an immersive exploration of our planet's wonders. From the microscopic realm of atoms to the grand cycles of weather, students delve deep into key Earth science topics.
Beginning with the building blocks of matter, students unravel the mysteries of atomic structure through hands-on experiments and interactive demonstrations. They then investigate the dynamic processes shaping Earth's surface, from plate tectonics to erosion, gaining insights into geological phenomena such as earthquakes and volcanoes. Exploring interconnected cycles driving Earth's systems, including the water, carbon, and nitrogen cycles, students uncover the intricate relationships between Earth's spheres. Delving into meteorology, students learn about the factors influencing weather patterns, from air pressure to humidity, through hands-on experiments and simulations.
Through inquiry-based learning and hands-on experimentation, students become active participants in their scientific exploration, fostering critical thinking skills and a deep understanding of Earth's processes, inspiring a lifelong passion for science and environmental stewardship.
Grades: 4-8
Cost: $285
