In this dynamic class, students will embark on an exciting journey into the world of speech and debate. With a focus on cultivating essential skills and fostering confident expression, students will delve into the fundamentals of effective communication.
Throughout the course, students will master the art of utilizing sources, crafting persuasive arguments, and presenting their ideas with clarity and conviction in a supportive environment. They'll have the opportunity to put their research into practice through engaging in live debates with their peers, honing their skills in research, note-taking, argumentation, refutation, and analysis along the way.
In addition to hands-on practice, students will enhance their understanding of effective communication by studying and dissecting various speeches and debates. Through collaborative analysis and discussion, students will gain valuable insights into the strategies and techniques employed by skilled communicators.
With its blend of challenge and camaraderie, this class promises to be a dynamic and interactive experience for students, providing them with the tools and confidence to excel in the art of public speaking and debate.
